Attractions

You can walk, bus or drive directly to Echo Point and the famous Three Sisters rock formation lookouts (approx. 2km). The Scenic Railway and Skyway attractions are a short distance further, on the edge of the spectacular southern escarpment. Many delightful historic walking tracks can be accessed nearby, including one to neighbouring Leura Cascades and another down into the Jamison Valley. Katoomba is surrounded closely by world-listed National Park with its unique flora and fauna. Remarkable rock formations, including waterfalls, landslides, the striking Mt Solitary and the unusual Narrowneck peninsula provide great viewing and photo opportunities within a few minutes drive. Encountering the drifting mists of this upper mountain region make for a memorable experience.

Katoomba golf course offers a challenging 18 holes.

From 'Sirens' it is an easy scenic drive to Blackheath and the Megalong Valley, the historic town of Mt Victoria, the famous Mt York lookout where Governor Macquarie first viewed the great western plains in 1813, and on through Little Hartley to Jenolan Caves.
